Hello parents! We hope you and your family had an amazing long weekend.
In honor of Christopher Columbus, we will do a fun art project about Christopher Columbus. We will also read My First Biography of Christopher Columbus.
This week during circle time, we will introduce the letter D and review the letter A, B, C. We will begin with naming things that begin with the letter C, listing things that are circle-shaped, and brainstorming objects that are the color red. We will also review all of our shapes, numbers 1-10, calendar, colors and letters.
We will also begin learning the ABC Phonics song. This will help the children recognize the letters and the objects that correspond. Fine motor and listening skills will be strengthened through our art projects by: peeling and sticking, gluing, coloring and painting. We will work on sharing with our friends by taking turns. We will continue to encourage independence in our classroom by feeding ourselves, throwing away our trash and putting away our toys.

For those who haven’t done so please bring in a family photo for our wall in class.
