Our Theme: Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Spring is Coming!
This week the children begin to look for the upcoming signs of spring. We will discuss the different seasons throughout the year, and the changes that take place all around us as we hope to leave winter behind and welcome spring very soon. The class will understand that these observations can be made through our senses which we will explore by creating fun hands-on crafts, becoming scientists and mixing spring colors, and waking up the “hibernating bears.” The children have been working hard to build their fine motor skills and are really showing progress with their alphabet, letter sounds and number recognition. Please continue to reinforce and practice these skills at home. This week we will begin to explore St. Patrick’s Day with some learning fun! We will count “golden coins,” work on our ABC and matching skills with “Leprechaun Letter Match,” and complete shamrock patterns.

- Beginning Monday masks are optional at school. Please be respectful of a person’s choice and/or reasons to have his/her child wear or not wear a mask. The past two years have been a challenging time and I thank you all for your cooperation. Some of the children may feel confused as they have been used to wearing a mask at school thus far. My number one priority is the emotional well-being of the children. If anyone feels the need to speak to me about this, feel free to reach out.
