Hello and welcome to another week of Kindergarten happiness!!

I was overwhelmed at the enthusiastic response received last week over the Dr. Seuss activities… The children loved making the various projects and tastings! It made me happy to see them so excited about taking home a book each night to read with you. I think their favorite thing was laughing at me when my tongue got all twisted up while reading Dr. Seuss’ silly words every day – Overall, I think our Read Across America Week was a huge success!

The reading groups continue to work together like a well-oiled machine:

  • They are very comfortable breaking up into small groups. Other times they read independently and 1-on-1 with me.
  • They have recently begun to buddy up with a friend and read to/listen to their book (not always in the same reader! I love this)
  • We have students in various stages of reading levels and all are progressing nicely towards their next book. I am so proud of each of them for the time & commitment they are putting into reading.
