Theme:

This week we will continue to review our letters and numbers and focus on the books of Dr. Seuss to celebrate Read Across America Week. Theodor Geisel is better known as Dr. Seuss. We will learn about this famous author and read a selection of his many books. In his lifetime Dr. Seuss wrote more than 60 children’s books which include many of the most popular children’s books of all time, selling more than 600 million copies.

His unique style of rhyming will inspire us to create rhymes of our own. While studying the ending sounds of rhyming words, we will notice that some rhymes end with site words such as at, am, and, it, an.

We will also review letters learned to date as well as numbers.

Looking forward to an exciting week of learning!
