Our Theme: Happy, Healthy Hearts, Lunar New Year and Groundhog Day
This week we will have fun getting ready for Valentine’s Day. We will discuss it’s meaning and talk about the people we love and why. We will focus on keeping our hearts healthy by “getting them pumping” with lots of moving and exercising, as well as exploring healthy eating choices. We have some great Valentine’s crafts and learning games planned, even a Valentine’s science experiment! We will have our class celebration on Monday, 2/14, all are invited of course. (The children are encouraged to bring little Valentine’s for their classmates and will enjoy delivering these to the class on our party day. Please see the letter and pictures that were sent home. Also on our agenda, we explore Lunar New Year and the special traditions associated with this day, and Groundhog Day will also be introduced and “acted out” in class. What a busy week!

This chart will be a simple tool that you may use at home to reinforce the letter recognition and sounds that we are learning in class. Thanks for your cooperation.
- Please sign and return the report card envelope. You may keep the report card.
- There is no school on Tuesay, February 1st and Monday, February 21st in honor of Lunar New Year and President’s Day.
