Theme: The Rainbow
Letter: R
Number: 13
Dear Pre-K Families,
I hope that you had a wonderful weekend enjoying the Superbowl. Hopefully, the Groundhog will be correct in predicting that Spring will be coming early. This week we will be learning the letter /Rr/ and we will be introducing the number 13 as well as reviewing all previous numbers as well. In addition to number writing, word list and sound recognition exercises, we will also be completing our contrasting differences in their physical attributes and characteristics as well as their habitats. In conjunction with our /Rr/ letter study, we will be learning about rainbows and the colors that make the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet). We will continue working hard in our respective reading groups. Please continue to read nightly with your children and ask them to picture read books to you. Please be sure to go over the sight words that are being sent home with each group. This will be crucial to help the children gain fluency in their reading
