Mrs. Cappelluti Week of December 9, 2019 Our Theme: The Grocery Store

Our “Grocery Store”’ is ready for business! The children have enjoyed watching our dramatic play area transform into our very own class Supermarket! Our “class delivery truck” filled with groceries will be driven to the “grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony!” We will explore and role-play the different jobs within a supermarket. Learning fun includes sorting by size (small, medium and large boxes), counting (our pretend money to pay for the groceries), and most importantly, taking turns within our supermarket (to help better develop self-regulation skills.) This week we discuss Hanukkah in class, spin the dreidel, and enjoy lots of Hanukkah fun.
