Mrs. Cappelluti Week of November 11, 2019
Theme: Harvest and Getting Ready for Thanksgiving For the next few weeks we will continue to discuss harvest and the importance of Thanksgiving. We focus on who and what we are thankful for during this special time of the year. The children will learn how the Pilgrims and Native Americans came together and became friends to share a great feast. We begin to get ready for our own class feasts which will take place on November 26th and 27th. Our food drive comes to an end on Friday; the children have been learning about helping those less fortunate and doing good in our community. What kind children you are raising, you should be so proud! This week we are also busy with name recognition, counting in Spanish, and learning our letters and their sounds.Literature:
- Pumpkin Countdown by Joan Holub
- It’s Harvest Time by Jean McElroy
