Pre-K Highlights October 28th – November 1st Weekly Theme: Halloween Fun Weekly Letter: Hh Weekly Number: 4
Happy Halloween Everyone!
This week in Pre-K we will be celebrating Halloween as well as learning about the letter Hh and number 4. During the week we will brainstorm a list of words starting with the letter H for our word wall. Students read an “Alphatales Letter Book” before our list is created. This helps them hear a variety of words for our specific letter. We will take the opportunity of Halloween week and read some fun and educational books on bats and spiders! Thursday is Halloween! Our morning will start with some fun centers before morning meeting where will discuss Trick-Or-Treating safety rules to prepare them for the night. Have fun! Our parade will begin at 10:45. Please send your child to school wearing his or her costume. Please also send in a labeled bag with a change of clothes (if your child wants to change). The rest of the week we will be building our math and fine motor skills with activities including finding letter H beads using tweezers. We will introduce the graph as another math tool as well as patterns.Weekly Literature:
