Two Year Old Highlights- September 23

Dear Parents, Everyone is transitioning nicely and getting into the new routine. This week we will be introducing farm animals because we are having Happy Trails Farm visit us on Friday. The children will be scrunching small square tissue paper and gluing them on pigs. This will help strengthen their fine motor skills. We also will be singing “Old McDonald had a Farm”.

The literature that we will be reading this week:

  • Peek-a-Who: by Nina Laden
Big Red Barn: by Margaret Wise Brown
Count the Monkeys: by Mac Barnett & Kevin Cornell
  • Five Little Ducks: by Raffi
  • At the Zoo: by Claire Henley

Reminders:

  • Class photos can be viewed on the Shutterfly link.
  • We strongly recommend that you leave your child after the drop off as it makes things easier for the child and for the class to establish routines.
  • If you would like, you can send in a sweatshirt or light coat to keep here for outside play on the cool days.
  • Happy Trails will be here Friday with a petting zoo and pony rides.
  • Just a reminder that school is closed on September 30 and October 1st in observance of Rosh Hashana.
Warm Regards,
Ms. Lauren, Ms. Christina & Ms. Kristin
