May 13, 2019 3:27 pm Mrs. Cappelluti Week of May 13, 2019   Our Theme: The Five Senses Over the next three weeks we introduce and explore the 5 senses. The children will learn about how our senses help us to experience different things; seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and smelling. We will engage in different activities and games to understand each of the five senses. This week we focus on the senses of sight and hearing; we will use our eyes and ears to play “What’s Missing,” “I Spy,”  “Name Hunt,” and “What’s That Sound?’   Literature: The Five Senses by Margaret Miller Look: A Book About Sight by Dana Meachen Rau Look, Listen, Taste, Touch and Smell-Learning About Your Five Senses by Pamela Hill Nettleton   Special News:
  1. Please dress for playground fun. Sneakers are best!
  2. Save the Dates: Turtle Creek Graduation on 6/14 at 9:30am, and Turtle Creek Carnival on 6/6 from 5:30-7pm.
  3. No school on Friday, 5/24 and Monday, 5/27.
  4. If you’d like to celebrate a summer birthday before school ends, please let me know.

  We hope you enjoyed our Mother’s Day Tea. It was so nice to share this special time with the Moms and children. Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week.
