Weekly Theme: Flowers
Weekly Letter: Zz
Weekly Number: 1-20 review
Hello Pre-K Families!
This week in Pre-K we will be learning about different types of flowers. We will learn about the parts of a flower as well as what is needed to make them grow. We will start a daisy seed pot and a strawberry seed pot this week to keep in class. When the weather gets warmer each student will plant their own flowers inside and outside. We will create a Zinnia craft that will relate to both our weekly theme and letter.
Our letter of the week is Z. Students will learn how to properly form this letter, recognize the sound it makes, and create a list of words that start with Z. We will create a letter Z zebra, practice zippering, create a zoo with animals and blocks, have a zig-zag car race, and stretch our bodies using our letter z yoga cards.
This week we will review the numbers 1-20. Playing number games, using dry erase numbers, and free-writing, will help our students become fluent with recognizing and properly forming numbers 1-20. We will continue to add with zero, one, and two. When practicing addition at home, we recommend using objects like coins, beads, toy cars, etc.
⭐️This Wednesday is Breakfast with Buddies at 10 am in our classroom.⭐️
