This week the children begin to look for the upcoming signs of spring. We will discuss the different seasons throughout the year, and the changes that take place all around us as we hope to leave winter behind and welcome spring next week. The children will understand that these observations can be made through our senses which we will explore through: creating fun hands on crafts, becoming scientists and mixing spring colors, and waking up the “hibernating bears.” The children have been working hard to build their fine motor skills and are really showing progress with their alphabet and number recognition. Please continue to reinforce and practice these skills at home. This week we will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by: enjoying some “lucky treats”, counting “golden coins” in our pot of gold, and have fun learning letters with “Leprechaun Letter Match.”
