Pre-K Highlights for the week of February 11th – February 15th
Letter of the Week: Vv
Number of the Week: 16
Hello Pre-K families, Hope you all had a great weekend! We have exciting week planned. Our letter of the week is /Vv/ so we will be reading our Alphatales Vv: Vera Viper’s Valentine by Maxwell Higgins and making our class /Vv/ list. Our Penguin visit is on Wednesday (yay!) and we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Thursday and learning about volcanoes all week. If you would like to send in something for Valentine’s Day the sign up sheet is by the sign-in sheet and I will be sending home a class list tomorrow. Patrick and Nicholas’ mom will help us celebrate on Thursday… Thank you! We will be reading Volcanoes by Franklin M. Branley this week. It is a great way to introduce the children to volcanic activities. We will briefly learn what volcanoes are and why they erupt. We will explore some pictures and videos of real volcanic eruptions so that they can get the idea of how our experiment will work. We will be creating our own Science volcano eruption and “lava”. I’ll be sure to send the videos to you. All of our class photos are up on our Shutterfly account if you would like to explore. The pictures are great! See you tomorrow, Mrs.MCategorised in: Mrs. Martorano
