Happy Holidays Pre-K Families!
This week we will be busy working hard on multiple projects just for you! We will be discussing December holidays and their different celebrations. During morning meeting everyone will share how they celebrate with their families and friends and what their favorite part of the holiday season is.
The letter we will learn about this week is R. Students will be learning how to properly form both the uppercase and lowercase R. During skill development we will complete our letter review worksheets and practice free writing. We will also create a new list of words that start with this letter after reading our Alphatales book.
While focusing on the number ten this week, students will not only writing the number, but also recognizing what a group of ten looks like. We have learned to use a tens-box for all of our numbers. This week we will learn that the number ten is two groups of five and every box in our frame will be filled.
Friday we will celebrate the first day of winter. Please send your child to school wearing his/her favorite pajamas. Your children may also bring their favorite stuffed animal. We will be making and eating pancakes in the morning so a morning snack will not be needed. Thank you for contributing to our party from the sign up sheet!
