December 11, 2018 4:10 pmReviewing letter: A-JIntroducing: KReviewing: 1-10Reviewing all basic shapes and colorsTheme: KittensDear Parents,We would like to thank all of you who attended the holiday party on Saturday. What a fun time! The children enjoyed the games, craft and snacks. The DJ kept the party moving and Santa’s visit is always the best way to kick off the season. This week, we will be exploring the letter “K.” We are following along the alphabet. Through the literature, activities and crafts, the children will be exposed to the letter K in a variety of ways.In the spirit of the season, we will expose children to the holiday of Kwanza. The principles on the third and fourth days of Kwanza are “working together” and “helping each other.” We will remind students throughout the week how important these things are when we are in school. We will present opportunities for children to be KIND and abundantly praise them when we see any act of kindness being displayed. We will decorate mittens this week using our fingerprints. This helps to develop the little muscles in the fingers that aid in fine motor development. We will decorate kites, count, classify and sort keys. Of course, we will continue to review the letters A-J, numbers 1-10, and our basic shapes. For math review, we will also count the kittens in the and how many mittens each kitten hasWe will teach the children the song “Three Little Kittens.” The children will help sing the song in the “Meow” refrain.
