October 29, 2018 3:27 pm   Reviewing Letter:  A-F Introducing the letter: G Number: 1-5 Shape:  Diamond/Rhombus Color: Brown Theme:  Halloween   Hello Parents! We are looking forward to a fun week ahead! Our Class Halloween Party will be Tuesday, October 30th from 11-12. If your child does not attend on Tuesdays you are more than welcome to drop off at 11 and pick up at 12. . If possible, please send your child in with a Halloween theme shirt or the color orange for our party.  A reminder list went out by email if you need to check what you signed up for. Again, a big thank you for helping!   Wednesday, October 31st is our School Halloween Parade at 10:45 am. Send your children to school that day in their costumes. If their costumes will inhibit their participation in activities that day, we will remove some of the costume to make it easier for your child. Please wait outside in the front of the school so you can get some great pictures as we come by!   Our share site on Shutterfly is up and running! You can log in as: Jenramm91@yahoo.com Password- TCLA2018 Photos from the beginning of the year haven’t been downloaded. Please click on albums to see different events. Hope you enjoy all the smiling faces and memories we are making at school!   During circle time, we will introduce the letter G and review  letters  A through F. As always, we will begin with naming things that begin with the letter G, listing things that are diamond-shaped, and brainstorming objects that are the brown . We will also review all of our shapes, numbers 1-10, the calendar, colors, and letters.   The children have been learning the ABC Phonics song and have been doing an amazing job. They are starting to recognize the letters and the objects that correspond. Fine motor and listening skills will be strengthened through our art projects by peeling and sticking, gluing, coloring and painting.  We will work on sharing with our friends by taking turns.  We will continue to encourage independence in our classroom by feeding ourselves, throwing away our trash and putting away our toys.   Reminder: For those who haven’t done so please bring in a family photo for our wall in class. Please dress for mess. Sneakers work best for our playground. The PTO sent out an order form for Thanksgiving Turkey Chocolate Pops. If you wish to order, please return the form. Thank you for supporting our PTO! They do wonderful things for our children and school. We will have a visit from a local hygienist to talk about Dental Health coming up the first week in November. Our school website has all the information about upcoming events and our school calendar. https://tcla4kids.com/ Please, parents, dress your child accordingly to the weather.   Literature for the week: Joey the Jack-O-Lantern; Janet Craig The Runaway Pumpkin; Kevin Lewis I like Pumpkins; Jerry Smath Pumpkin Patch Puppy; Danielle Denega Pete the Cat –Five Little Pumpkins; James Dean Biscuit’s Pet & Play Halloween; Alyssa Satin Capucilli There Was An Old Lady That Swallowed A Bat; Lucille Colandro   Regards, Miss Jenn and Miss Priya
