October 22, 2018 3:28 pm   Mrs. Cappelluti Week of October 22, 2018 Our Theme: Fall is Here: Apples, Apples, Apples   As we further explore the Fall season, we will pretend to take a “train ride” and go “apple picking.” We will learn all about apples: different types, how they grow, and even be “scientists” and conduct an apple taste test to see which color the children like best. Our results will be graphed in class. We will work on some apple crafts, strengthen our counting skills with some fun apple games, and sing some silly apple songs too!   Literature: I Am an Apple by Jean Marzollo Ten Red Apples by Pat Hutchins The Biggest Apple Ever by Steven Kroll Up, Up, Up It’s Apple Picking Time by Jody Fickes Shapiro The Apple Pie Tree by Zoe Hall   Special News:
  1. On Wednesday and Thursday, please send your child to school in pink for our Wear Pink Days! Let’s show support and raise awareness for all the women in our lives.
  2. Thank you to our wonderful PTO for last week’s pumpkin patch fun. The children had a great time.
  3. Our Halloween Parades will take place on Tuesday, 10/30 at 10:45am and Wednesday, 10/31 at 10:45am. Please come watch us parade around the school in our great costumes. Don’t forget your cameras. A celebration will take place before the parades for the children in class. Our sign-up sheet is posted. Thanks to those who have signed up already!
  4. Please return your child’s sleep mats.
  5. Our class parents will be Mrs. Epstein (Tu/Th class) and Mrs. Brochado (MWF class.) Parents will have many opportunities throughout the year to visit and volunteer in our classroom so stay tuned!
