Hello Parents,
Welcome back. Hope you and your family had a great weekend.
Despite last week being a short week for our class, the kids did amazing!
This week during circle time, we will introduce the letter B, and review the letter A. Although we review all of our shapes, numbers 1-10, and colors, we will focus more on the square , the color blue and the numbers 1 & 2.
We will also learn the ABC Phonics song which will help the children recognize the letters and the objects that correspond to the beginning sound of that letter.
Fine motor and listening skills will be strengthened through our art projects by: peeling and sticking, gluing, coloring and painting. These art projects are designed to expose the children to a variety of art media, to teach them the importance of following directions, to strengthen small muscles in their fingers and hands, and to take pride in their beautiful work.
We will work on sharing with our friends by taking turns.
We will continue to encourage independence in our classroom by feeding ourselves, throwing away our trash and putting away our toys.
Reminder:
Picture day is October 10th. If your child is not scheduled for school that day, please come in for a school picture.
Happy Trails petting farm and pony rides will be here Friday at 10:00. Our class will go out to see them from 10:00-10:30 am. Since this is also an Open House, invite your friends to come and tour our beautiful school.
Please bring in a family photo for our wall in class.
