September 24, 2018 6:25 pm Mrs. Cappelluti Week of September 24, 2018 Our Theme: Welcome Fall As we look at the beautiful fall changes going on around us this week, we talk about the new season and reasons why we know the season has changed. We explore and investigate the difference in the weather; we look for the changes around us in nature and take part in fun fall activities. We will utilize the wonderful nature trail behind Turtle Creek to look for signs of fall. The children will ask and answer questions that we will chart in class. Fun fall songs and crafts will be part of our upcoming week as well! Literature: Autumn Leaves are Falling by Maria Fleming I am a Leaf by Jean Marzollo Colorful Leaves by Maria Fleming When the Leaf Blew In by Steve Metzger Special News:
  1. Continue to check your email each week for pictures of fun times that we will share with you via our Ipad.
  2. Back to School Night for parents is Thursday, September 27th at 6:30pm. This is a parent only meeting to discuss our school day in detail. If you can’t attend, we are happy to discuss this information with you at another convenient time.
  3. Please send in your family photo if you have not done so already.
  4. If your child is full day, please send in two snacks, an extra drink, and a lunch.
  5. Pizza Day is Wednesday. Please send in October hot lunch order forms this week.
  6. Please return your child’s rest time bag with the sheet on the mat.
  7. Happy Tails Farm will be visiting Turtle Creek on Friday. Please wear your Turtle Creek shirts. If you are a student who does not attend school on Fridays, you are welcome to visit the farm with us outside at 10am.
